Sinahi, first off thank you for support and being here today, The Fitworld Blog website welcomes you!

How old are you now, what age did you start training and why?
I’m 25 years old. I started training with a focus in fitness 2 years ago. The journey began for me after an accident that I had while skateboarding on a big ramp. I’m always doing all kinds of sports outdoor and indoors. Now my goal is get fit and better in my skills like balance, strength, resistance and speed.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. A mini description if you will. How did you get started in modelling? Do you aspire to be a worldwide renowned supermodel?
I’m from Venezuela and I’m a professional model and fashion designer. I love extreme sports like surfing and skateboarding. I love to cook, dance, yoga, meditation and read a lot about metaphysics and buds philosophy.
I started modeling since I was a little girl, at 6years old.
I wanna be a renowned model, with good skills to show while inspiring people and help them to have a healthy life, and hopefully get successful.

What is going on in your world right now? What are you doing in terms of modelling and physical training?
Actually my training and my diet are now my lifestyle. I changed my life completely since I started fitness in order to see results. I have been doing many different types of workouts, like HIT training, circuit training, German volume training, isolation workouts, etc… Now I’m get people get to know me better, promoting my social media accounts like Instagram and my official Facebook account.
What’s the next step for Sinahi Kinyoun?
My focus right now is my training and to get better everyday. My next step will be start making workout videos and projects with modelling agencies. Continue building my social media and get the people get to know me better.

Can you tell us a bit about your experience moving from Venezuela to the USA?
I moved from my country to Spain, to start my studies in fashion design and continue modeling. After 8 years living there and getting my career going, I realized that modelling in Spain was challenging, This is due to the fact that it is a European market that wants another type of model with no curves, and android bodies. I decide to move to Santiago – Chile, to be with my family and see what new opportunities were possible. After 1 month living there I met my boyfriend (actually my fiancé) and after being together 3 months we decided to take a chance, so we moved together to New Orleans.

Where does your motivation come from?
My motivation in fitness came from a tragic accident that I had in Spain. After skateboarding for 8 years, I fell of a big ramp and broke my femur in 4 pieces. Doctors said I would probably end up walking with a limp. That’s when I realized that I needed to get stronger legs for better healing if I wanted to continue modeling as a career. During my therapy I started learning the right techniques for each movement on each exercise. After 3 months of therapy and swimming for 30 minutes a day, I started to run and skate again. Before I knew it, I was already involved in the wonderful fitness world.
What is your training, nutrition and supplementation like?
My training at this moment is basically functional training, mixed with Olympic Lifting and conditioning workouts. for example, some HIT conditioning with low weights (one minute on and one minute off) for a circuit of 10 minutes performed as fast and best you can. For extra work, I do some times a week of balance workouts with my indoboard, skateboarding and 30 or 45 minutes cardio before breakfast, 3 or 5 days a week.
My daily supplementation consists of multivitamins, glutamine and BCAA.
I’m vegetarian so I try to make variation that’s possible in my diet. So my nutrition is rich in high protein like fish and eggs, and also protein shakes 90% protein. A lot of broccoli, sweet potato, raw vegetables, salads and soups too, green tea, avocados, oatmeal with peanut butter and bananas. I have restrictions like no lactose, gluten free, anything fry, pretty low sodium and 2 days no carbohydrates, every 2 weeks.(consisting of vegetables, no other kinds of carbohydrates)

Do you have any words of wisdom to inspire younger women starting out in modelling?
My best advice is, decide what you want to do no matter what it is. Focus on your goal, no matter how absurd. Don’t listen to those who doubt you, work hard and don’t give up.

What are your goals as far as 2016 are concerned?
My goals in terms of fitness are to enjoy every moment of my life as I grow. I want to have an exciting and interesting life while seeing the world. I want to help others, create associations to help the animals, the dogs in the streets, the people that don’t have food or possibilities to get food (like is happening in my country). Create consciousness about how we need to protect the only body that we have in this life, our world and our soul. (Teaching yoga or techniques of meditation). I aspire to be the person that people love to see inspiring them to change their lives for a healthy one, and never stop dreaming.
What are your 3 favorite things to do outside of modelling related stuff?
My 3 favorite things are:
1. Sports, especially outdoors.
2. Traveling, natural destinations are my favorite.
3. Sushi.

Would you go out with a guy who body builds or does that turn you off?
The truth is that I will feel more interested in someone that has an athletic body because it is the first impression. However this is not the most important. Important for me is someone that share with my good stories of life, a healthy and active lifestyle It doesn’t matter if we don’t have same hobbies in common. It’s much better that we have the intention and the motivation to learn and enjoy activities that we like too.

Without thinking to hard, what are the 3 biggest female training myths out there that need to go away ASAP?
1. The myth if you lift heavy, you will get bigger like a man.
2. About using girdles everyday and not doing exercises you will get an skinny belly and abs.
3. If you do squats everyday and do abs everyday, you’re going to get a big butt, quadriceps and abs.
How do you achieve a work/life balance between your training, work and social life?
In my case, I’m interacting with people everyday on my social media and in person too. My training is part of my life, but is my office too. Anywhere I do it. I think the right balance is dedicating the time needed for each situation, without forgetting your own life, the people you love. Don’t let work consume your real life by dedicating more time than you should spend doing and enjoying your personal life.

What is your philosophy on training? Please share your insights.
My philosophy on training goes beyond getting a good body or getting ready for competitions. It’s the way you change your life once you start for real. Being disciplined, consistent and how it makes you get better skills and good health. That sensation that makes you feel years younger. The focus you can get to train better, also for your life, to get more control of situations, more capacity of decision, and to get over depressions and stress. Most importantly, you give more empathy with other people, and appreciate every positive thing.
Current relationship status?
Fiancé.

Before we go, what is your top tip that you could give all trainers out there for becoming a successful model?
Focus on your goal and what kind of model you wanna be. Get all experience possible and learn about every modelling job, that will help to develop yourselves in the modelling industry. Open every door possible. One of those doors will be open to give you greatest opportunities. Always have self confidence, remain humble and with a lot of motivation.
